Canada's circulation coins are a familiar part of our everyday lives.  This set showcases the original designs in stunning proof quality with colour enhancement, with an exclusive silver medallion featuring the iconic bullion Maple Leaf known throughout the world as a symbol of pride, security, and quality.

A must-have 2019 Canadian circulation 99.99% pure silver 6-coin set with medallion! Order today!

Special features:
  • TWO DIFFERENT FINISHES ON YOUR MEDALLION! The unique medallion features the familiar Maple Leaf design used on Canadian bullion coins since 1979, in two different finishes; proof on the reverse, reverse proof on the obverse. The Gold Maple Leaf was the first Maple Leaf bullion coin, followed by the Silver Maple Leaf and Platinum Maple Leaf in 1988, as well as the Palladium Maple Leaf in 2005.
  • ENHANCED FINISHES! The medallion has been enhanced with numismatic finishes instead of the typical bullion radial line background.
  • CANADIAN THEMES AND IMAGERY! Canada's circulation coin designs date back as far as 1937 and highlight uniquely Canadian themes and imagery.
  • STUNNING MIRROR PROOF FINISH! The proof coins have been struck at lower speed than standard circulation coins to produce a stunning mirror proof finish, which has been accented with rich colour.
  • INCLUDES SERIALIZED CERTIFICATE! The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coin sets.
  • 99.99% PURE SILVER! Your coins and medallion are crafted from 99.99% pure silver!
  • LOW WORLDWIDE MINTAGE: Only 7,000 coin sets will be made available worldwide.
  • NO GST/HST!

Medallion design:

The medallion features the iconic Maple Leaf design found on Canadian Silver, Gold, Platinum and Palladium Maple Leaf bullion coins.  The original maple leaf design was created by Walter Ott, a Royal Canadian Mint engraver.

99.99% pure silver coin designs:
Polar Bear:

Canada's two-dollar coin, launched in 1996, features a polar bear, one of the world's largest terrestrial carnivores which can weigh up to 650 kilograms. It lives near the cold seas and frozen ice of Canada's far-north.

Common Loon:

Launched in 1987, the reverse of the one-dollar coin represents a common loon swimming against the rugged backdrop of the Canadian Shield. The loon's haunting calls are one the quintessential sound of the Canadian wilderness in summer.

Canada's Coat of Arms:

The Canadian Coat of Arms, proclaimed in 1921 and modified in 1996, reminds Canadians of our diverse heritage. It features images from France (the fleur-de-lis), England (the three royal lions and rose), Scotland (a lion and thistle) and Ireland (the Irish harp and shamrock).

Caribou:

An enduring symbol of the Canadian north, the majestically-antlered caribou has remained a Canadian icon since first appearing on the twenty-five-cent piece in 1937.

Bluenose:

In 1921, Atlantic Canadians built one of the finest racing and fishing vessels in Canadian history, the Bluenose. Known for its speed, and almost unbeatable in a race, the ship first appeared on the ten-cent piece in 1937.

Beaver:

The beaver is Canada's national animal. Highly sought after for its rich fur in the 17th and 18th centuries, it was the mainstay of the colonial economy for centuries. Today, the beaver is revered as a symbol of hard work and perseverance.

Did you know...
  • The Royal Canadian Mint has always sought to make its bullion coins the world's most pure and innovative. The most recent generation of Gold and Silver Maple Leaf bullion coins are also the world's most secure, thanks to numerous security and quality features not found on other investment coins.
  • More than 200 million ounces of Silver Maple Leaf bullion coins have been sold since 1988.
  • In 2007 the Royal Canadian Mint created the first 99.999% pure gold bullion coin; the highest purity in the world.
  • The current generation of Maple Leaf coins feature a radial line background, and are not available in proof finish.
  • Bullion coins are usually bought as investments in precious metal that trade near spot metal prices.  They generally have much higher mintages and are produced at much higher speed than numismatic coins. Royal Canadian Mint Maple Leaf bullion products are available from a network of dealers that spans the globe.
  • In 1931, the Royal Mint in Ottawa was transferred to the Canadian government, becoming the Royal Canadian Mint. The Mint began re-designing circulation coinage shortly thereafter.
  • The Mint's high-tech plant in Winnipeg can strike up to 750 circulation coins per second and strikes more than 1 billion coins each year!  Fine silver versions for special collector sets are struck in Ottawa.
