As we count down to the New Year and reflect on a dynamic and successful 2025, marked by awards, new coin launches, international collaborations, and sustainability achievements, here is a ‘by-the-numbers’ look at some of the key Mint Moments in 2025.

As we count down to the New Year and reflect on a dynamic and successful 2025, marked by awards, new coin launches, international collaborations, and sustainability achievements, here is a ‘by-the-numbers’ look at some of the key Mint Moments in 2025.
TWO – Prestigious awards were presented to us during the Mint Directors Conference:
- Best Commemorative Silver Coin for our 2024 $50 Pure Silver Coin – Year of the Dragon.
- Best Collaboration for our partnership with McGill University’s Department of Chemistry to develop a more environmentally responsible gold refining process.
THREE – New commemorative circulation coins were launched, each with a unique story:
- $1 150th Anniversary of the Supreme Court of Canada
- $2 Celebrating the Life and Art of Daphne Odjig
- $2 Honouring Canada’s Unknown Soldier
FOUR – Our place among the world’s 25 most sustainable public sector corporations in the Corporate Knights global sustainability ranking and fifth overall among the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada.
FIVE – Consecutive years as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers.
SEVEN – Years of our annual Commemorating Black History series with 2025 recognizing Vancouver’s first Black community, Hogan’s Alley.
EIGHT – New contracts to produce coins and/or provide coinage solutions for various international customers were established in 2025.
TEN – Grams of gold in our first 10g Diwali 99.99% gold bullion bar that launched in October.
23 – Fancy yellow diamonds adorn each 10 oz. pure platinum coin from our Opulence Collection, making it one of the year’s most prestigious and exclusive coins.
24 – Coin exchange events held across Canada in 2025, exchanging over 488,000 coins.
32 – Grade 9 students participated in the annual Take Our Kids to Work Day program on November 5, giving them a glimpse of the work done behind-the-scenes at our Ottawa and Winnipeg facilities.
50 – Years since the industrious beaver (Castor canadensis) was officially proclaimed a symbol of Canadian sovereignty – a legacy celebrated throughout 2025.
100 – Grams of pure gold make up a new bullion bar format. Introduced in 2025, the 2026 100g 99.99% Pure Gold Bar (Bullion) is the largest minted bar in our collection.
114 – Employees celebrated milestone service anniversaries in 2025 (either 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35-year of service).
230 – Millimeters is the diameter of the world’s largest .9999 fine silver coin. Launched in January, the Big Silver Maple Leaf weighs 10-kilos.
3,100+ | Masters Club members joined our 2025 virtual events, including our new podcast for exclusive previews, artist interviews, and much more – all part of our loyalty program.
27,000+ | New followers joined us on social media this year.
235,000+ | Unique visitors to our boutiques in Ottawa and Winnipeg.
