The Majestic Polar Bear is a Premium Bullion in Special Packaging product – an investment-grade collectible coin that puts the purest precious metals in your hands – and First Strikes hold the distinction of having been struck on the first day of production.
Continuing the story from the mother-and-cub designs of 2023 and 2024, the 2025 edition finds the cub all grown up and on its own. As a result, the coin’s reverse features just one paw print, a reflection of the bear’s independence and solitary nature.

- Specially handled during the manufacturing process. Produced with a guaranteed weight, each Premium Bullion coin was specially handled during the manufacturing process.
- Easy-to-collect format. The Majestic Polar Bear comes encapsulated in custom-designed card packaging and wrapped in a clear envelope.
- Easy purchase option. While bullion products are typically purchased from authorized dealers, Premium Bullion can be purchased directly from the Royal Canadian Mint, Canada Post and dealers. It is only available in this stylish card format.
- Fine silver. Your fine silver First Strikes Premium Bullion coin is crafted in 99.99% pure silver with a minimum guaranteed weight (1 oz.), and a limited mintage of 5,000 coins worldwide.
- Also available in gold. The Majestic Polar Bear is available in 1 oz. of pure silver and 1/10 oz. of pure (24-karat) gold.
