The Mint is hiring a Sales Manager who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Managing Director of Sales, Foreign Circulation, the Sales Manager, will be representing the Mint’s foreign circulation capabilities to Central Banks, governmental departments, foreign Mints and Canadian embassies around the world. Your Responsibilities:

- Build global relationships and connect with key officials through country visits and attending international events.
- Drive international sales by seeking out new opportunities, analyzing market needs, and promoting our world-class foreign circulation coins and coin blanks in exciting territories around the world.
- Negotiate contracts and sign international agreements under the signing authority granted by the Mint’s President and CEO.
- Identify, manage, and motivate a global network of commissioned Sales Agents for collaboration.
- Lead and coordinate internal contract criteria with various Mint departments, including Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Help shape production forecasts by contributing anticipated sales figures for potential new business in assigned sales territories.
This opening is to be filled on a hybrid working arrangement, and the incumbent will be required to work from the Ottawa or Winnipeg location generally on an average of 3 days a week which could change based on operational requirements.

- This position requires an advanced level of English proficiency. Proficiency in multiple languages is considered a strong asset.
Education & Designation:
- University degree in a related field (Business, Political Science, International Relations or Trade preferred) or an acceptable combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience in sales, preferably with previous internal sales experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing collaborative, multi-site, cross-functional sales projects.
Additional Qualifications:
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Strong aptitude for understanding technical specifications and production processes.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and knowledge of diverse economies, legislation, and international business practices.
- Proven commitment to customer satisfaction and relationship building.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully in team environments.
- Diplomatic yet persuasive, capable of engaging with senior officials and stakeholders, including foreign government representatives.
- Exceptional presentation skills, professional presence, and ability to influence.
- Advanced interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Sound judgment and strong decision-making capabilities.
