The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring an Advisor, Employee Communications who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Communications, the Advisor leads internal communication initiatives in Winnipeg. As part of the Employee Communications team, with employees in Ottawa and Winnipeg, this role directly supports cultivating a positive and healthy culture, aligning business goals with employees’ day-to-day work, elevating the sense of community, supporting engagement and enablement through open communication, and ensuring employees have the information and context to excel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop content in support of the employee communications content plan and strategy in collaboration with the leadership team and your counterpart in Ottawa;
- Publish digital and print publications;
- Collaborate with external communication groups to align key messages, including support of Winnipeg public relations;
- Develop and support delivery of communication content from the leadership team;
- Lead communication activities in support of corporate initiatives, meetings, and events, including managing vendors, budgeting and on-site execution of these key initiatives.
Requirements
- University degree or certificate in communications or a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered;
- A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams) and software tools, such as InDesign and Photoshop, required for publications;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated attention to detail, including excellent editing skills;
- Ability to handle and work with confidential information;
- Excellent problem solving, strategic planning and project management experience;
- Ability to create and maintain interpersonal relationships at various levels;
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a small team;
- Comfort and ability to work independently;
- Experience in video recording and editing is an asset;
- Bilingualism preferred.
