We’re very excited to announce that coin exchanges are back for 2023! We’ll be travelling to select cities across Canada to offer you the opportunity to add our 2022/23 commemorative circ coins to your collection.

Haven’t attended our coin exchanges before? No worries, here’s how they work.
- A coin exchange is an even trade (or swap) of Canadian money for new commemorative circulation coins.
- Individuals simply exchange ordinary circulation coin(s) for the new commemorative one.
- The amount given by an individual is the same as the amount received.
- Individuals can exchange any Canadian circulation coin or banknote denomination.
- For example, to obtain a new $1 Oscar Peterson commemorative circulation coin one can use:
- one loonie ($1 coin)
- one toonie ($2 coin) to receive two $1 commemorative circulation coins in return
- four quarters (25¢ coin)
- one can even use a $5 banknote and receive three $1 commemorative circulation coins and a toonie in exchange (for a total of $5)
- Limit of two pieces, per person, while supplies last.
