About
International Coin Offer - Manufactured in Germany by Modern Numismatics International, a Netherlands company
The North Rose of Westminster Abbey is one of the finest examples of English Gothic-stained glass, renowned for its intricate stone tracery and harmonious geometric design. Originally created in the 13th century and carefully restored over the centuries, it symbolizes divine light, faith, and the enduring spiritual heritage of the Abbey. Its elegant symmetry and radiant craftsmanship have made it an enduring masterpiece of medieval architecture and a lasting icon of British history.
Second coin in a new series exclusive to the Royal Canadian Mint! This outstanding silver coin pays homage to the breathtaking rose window seen in Westminster Abbey, one of the most famous architectural masterpieces in the world.
- Issued by Ascension Island and crafted in 3 oz. of .999 fine (99.9% pure) silver
- As a world first, an innovative approach has been taken to produce this coin: the outer walls and surrounding architectural elements of the stained-glass window will be shown in relief on the reverse, while the obverse will feature a relief depiction of the interior view—both sides will change from coin to coin.
- The inserted acrylic glass disc will be printed on both sides, creating a transparent, lifelike effect, much like viewing through an actual stained-glass window.
- Manufactured in Germany by Modern Numismatics International, a Netherlands company.
