    Reporting to the President and CEO, the Senior Program Manager, Policy and Stakeholder Relations provides advice, information, analysis and organizational support to the CEO on various aspects of her responsibilities.

    In this role, the Senior Program Manager, Policy and Stakeholder Relations facilitates planning, coordination and participates on several strategic activities and is a key role in assisting the President and CEO to meet the RCM strategic objectives. The Senior Program Manager, Policy and Stakeholder Relations acts as a trusted advisor and as a liaison between executives, key internal and external stakeholders to ensure activities are coordinated and streamlined within the organization based on the priorities of the President and CEO.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Acts as the first point of contact for most requests coming to the office of the President and CEO, clarifies needs, analyzes requests by gathering all relevant information, redirects requests when required and prepares briefings on these requests to the President.
    • Prepares the President and CEO for important meetings and events. Seeks relevant facts and information by contacting various internal and external stakeholders, analyses the information by identifying options and priorities.
    • Identifies and recommends activities and interactions with actors external to the RCM such as federal government departments, international dignitaries, community groups.
    • Accompanies the President and CEO to various meetings and events.
    • Actively plan, coordinate and participate in strategic activities and initiative involving the President and CEO.
    • Coordinate rapid action on policy and programming requests/opportunities arising for the President and CEO.
    • In collaboration with the Director, Communications and Public Affairs, support the development and maintenance of strong and effective relationships with government officials (elected and non-elected) and key public affairs influencers to build partnerships, boost engagement and awareness of the Royal Canadian Mint and its strategic goals.
    • In collaboration with the Director, Communications and Public Affairs, track key government committees, ministries and other advisory bodies to ensure, when appropriate, that the RCM provides input and information to these groups with the objectives of advancing the RCM's objectives.
    • Develop various stakeholder engagement strategies, approaches and plans designed to foster an understanding of the RCM's activities as they relate to innovation and commemoration with an eye on demonstrating their impact in support of government priorities.
    • Work closely with the RCM's Communications and Public Affairs team to help shape external relations messages.


    • University degree in communication, public relations, policy or equivalent;
    • Minimum of 10 years of related business experience;
    • Knowledge in the workings of the federal government;
    • Highly-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
    • Experience planning and executing meetings and events;
    • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills;
    • Ability to identify communications needs and work with all levels in the organization;
    • In-depth understanding of various social media platforms;
    • Well-developed analytical skills leading to sound decisions and advice based on organizational strategy;
    • Ability to take initiative and to work autonomously;
    • Bilingual (English and French) mandatory.
